While Uber has had this positive effect on our communities, we have also seen areas in which Uber and its drivers have unnecessarily exposed riders and the public to dangers. Setting aside those incidents in which Uber drivers have physically and sexually assaulted riders, the actions of Uber drivers performing their hired tasks has unnecessarily put both their passengers and others on the roads at risk in many instances.
